About istoclaide

Teaching AIto real people.

istoclaide began in 2019 with a question: why did AI education still feel like reading a technical manual? We build live webinar programs for practitioners, rather than passive recipients of slides.

Théodore Vanmeerbeek, Lead AI Educator at istoclaide

Théodore Vanmeerbeek

Lead AI Educator

Théodore spent 8 years building NLP pipelines at a logistics firm before moving into education. He runs the live broadcast sessions and designs the technical exercises for each webinar, where participants have to make decisions rather than simply follow steps.

Aoife Drennan, Curriculum Designer at istoclaide

Aoife Drennan

Curriculum Designer

Aoife structures every program from the learner's perspective first. She maps out where confusion tends to appear - usually around session 3 of any fundamentals course - and rebuilds the sequence until it holds. Her background is in cognitive science, which shapes how content is paced and layered.

Ragnvald Sørbø

Platform & Broadcast Engineer

Ragnvald handles the systems behind the live experience: stream reliability, interactive polling, and participant chat moderation tools. He keeps latency under 2 seconds for participants across France and tests each session setup at least 4 hours before broadcast.

How we work

Four things that shape every decision here

After seeing what goes wrong in online education - vague content, passive formats, and courses built for an average learner rather than a specific one - we made these four constraints for ourselves.

istoclaide live AI webinar session interface
1
Specificity over coverage Each session covers fewer topics than a typical course and goes 3 levels deeper. Participants should leave knowing one concept well, rather than 6 vaguely.
2
Live interaction as a design constraint Every program assumes questions will come mid-session. The expert works through the material with the audience, rather than presenting at it.
3
Accessible from any region Participants join from across France. Sessions run at times that account for different schedules, and recordings are available within 24 hours for anyone who misses a live broadcast.
4
Honest about difficulty AI fundamentals aren't simple. We don't market the programs as quick wins. Most participants need 4 to 6 weeks of consistent engagement before the concepts start connecting.
